DAM Audio is a research-driven studio based in Rouen, France. Every algorithm we ship is developed, mixed on and validated in our own rooms before it reaches yours.

WHO WE ARE
Engineering and listening, in the same pair of hands
Founded by Quentin Nivromont, DAM Audio sits at the intersection of DSP research and day-to-day studio practice. The same person who writes the convolution engine masters records on it the next morning — that loop is our quality control. A decade of spatial audio research, dozens of venues measured, and a growing portfolio of algorithms now heading into beta.

We don't come from nowhere
Our engineers come from Devialet, Amadeus and IRCAM — three schools of rigour, and you hear each of them in the cores we ship.

RESEARCH & PUBLICATIONS
Published, presented — and shipped
We put our methods where the research community can read them. Our upmix engine was presented at the IRCAM Forum Workshops, Paris, March 2026 — the article, On the use of HSR as an upmix solution for stereo reproduction on multi-speaker systems, is published on the Forum. The same engine ships today in DAM Upmix and RIPL — that loop, from publication to product, is how every core here is built.
