DAM Upmix — Public Beta

Almost everything ever mixed is stereo, and almost nothing being asked for today is. Music platforms take Dolby Atmos. Film, broadcast and streaming want 5.1 or 7.1.4. Museums, planetariums, clubs and permanent installations run speaker counts that two channels cannot fill. The content exists; the format does not.

Remixing a catalogue in immersive means one session per track, with the stems, when the stems still exist. Upmixing starts from the master you already have and turns it into a multichannel deliverable: same balance, same tone, spread across the system. It does not replace a native immersive mix. It is how a back catalogue reaches an immersive system at all, and how a stereo mix gets heard on one tonight.

Most upmixers recolor the signal. This one does not. Our HSR algorithm works entirely in the time domain: it reads the spatial image already encoded in your stereo and redistributes its energy across every output, conserving energy and leaving the timbre untouched. No FFT, no pre-echo, no musical noise.

And it stays downmix-safe — fold the upmix back to stereo and you recover your master, thanks to phase-aware summation from HCC.

For each output you choose where in the stereo image it draws from; a position on the stereo axis, reaching past ±90° to pull energy from the extreme sides, without the phase trouble an M/S matrix brings. Each output carries a Weight set from how much of the image it covers, so the energy stays balanced.
